Description Of Practice
I believe that each person has the capacity to make positive change within him/her self and in relationship to those they love. Sometimes that change requires the assistance of a caring, knowledgable professional.
I have worked within a clinic setting for almost 20 years helping clients, social workers and interns to understand why they act the way they do and how it impacts other people. This information is extremely helpful in making decisions about how to communicate and act in the future.
I am also very comfortable working with people who have been severely abused and been witness to miraculous changes allowing freedom from the past and freedom to create a new future.
I have given workshops on counseling children who have been sexually abused at the Coalition Against Child Abuse and Neglect as well as at Family and Childrens' Association.
I have trained graduate students of social work and supervised seasoned clinicians. Their experience of me is the same as described by my clients. They have all informed me that they feel safe in my office and have learned to listen and empathize with their clients and themselves.
I also believe that laughter as well as tears belong in the therapeutic relationship.
I have recently relocated to Westchester County and would like an opportunity to meet with you.

I have extensive training in trauma. I worked at the American Stock Exchange following September 11 in addition to the police station, the postal service, and at the pier.
