Qualification Description
I have a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida and am registered by the Department of Health in the state of Florida (IMH5684). Additionally, I am a Certified Crisis Responder (CCR) trained by the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA). I have worked in a variety of settings through the years, including a residential treatment facility for adolescents, a police department victim services unit, a university setting, and a spiritual community, in addition to my current private practice. I specialize in counseling children, adolescents, and adults with particular emphasis on recovery from traumatic experiences, grief and loss, sexual health (gender identity concerns, sexually transmitted infection diagnosis, and sexual dysfunction) and relationship concerns including gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) issues.

I use an eclectic approach of therapeutic interventions with clients to meet each individual's unique needs. Most often I utilize a relational and interpersonal approach, incorporating various mind and body modalities including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Hypnotherapy and creative techniques such as art, music, and play.
