Description Of Practice
Have you noticed a recent emotional or behavioral change in your teenager? Is your teen engaging in self-destructive behaviors such as substance abuse or cutting? Is your teenager feeling sad, confused, or overwhelmed by a transition, traumatic event, or life stress? Your teen is not alone. Studies indicated that up to one-third of adolescents report at any given time that they are experiencing depressed mood.
Negative life events, hormonal changes, and search for identity are among the factors that play a part in teenager’s mood. There are times when it can be helpful for a skilled therapist to come alongside and assist youth in negotiating adolescence and encourage worried parents in their changing parenting roles.
I have been privileged to be a part of many wonderful transformations in families through providing counseling during the past 7 years. I will be honored to contribute to positive changes in your family as well. I invite you to visit my website and learn more about my services: www.integrity-counseling.com
