Lori Payne has a masters degree in counseling psychology from Texas Woman's University and has been working in the counseling field (pre and post-licensure) for 12 years. Her area of expertise is teens and their families. She also specializes in substance abuse & self-injury. Her experience includes adolescent residential treatment, teen domestic violence in a school-based program, play therapy, adult & adolescent outpatient drug treatment, & outpatient mental health experience. She has served as clinical director of a non-profit counseling agency & is comfortable interacting with school personnel & probation.
Lori believes it's important to consider the whole "system" when counseling someone (i.e. family, friends, significant others). She also takes a Christian perspective & offers Christian counseling to those so desiring.
