We need to feel understood, safe, and supported to create life-long change, and in my practice I work to establish a respectful and warm relationship where this growth and development can occur. I find by exploring both the past and the present, clients are able to recognize life patterns which affect their relationships, career, and mental health. However, I also believe each person is unique and do not utilize a "one-size-fits-all" approach. Rather, I work with clients in a collaborative manner, and together we establish the direction and pace of our work.
I work with with individuals and couples from a variety of cultural, ethnic, and spiritual backgrounds, sexual orientations, and gender identities.Overall, I believe you will find my approach open, flexible, affirming, and engaging.
Clients begin sessions with a variety of concerns such as depression, anxiety, self-esteem concerns, and problems with romantic and personal relationships. I am also experienced working with clients on issues of trauma and past abuse, body image and eating disorders, LGBTQ issues, and women's issues.
