All are capable of growth. This was driven home by my experience over the years in working with developmentally disabled folk. I see myself as eclectic in what I do, tailoring my approach to individuals and their choices. I'm "active" as a therapist, in that I'll make suggestions, offer opinions, etc. Most find that I'm easy to speak with and many enjoy my sense of humor.
I find self-help and education to generally be very helpful. My goal is to help empower people so that they can live more fulfilling lives.
