We don't offer just "talk therapy." We strongly believe that effective therapy requires not just talking but also doing (changing behaviors). So we think of therapy as us acting as your coaches and you learning and practicing new ways of thinking and behaving. Especially (since we specialize in treating anxiety disorders) learning to stop avoiding and coping and instead facing ones fears head on (with therapeutic guidance). We believe this approach is has the strongest support from clinical research, and we believe strongly in evidence-guided clinical practice, in stiving to offer our clients therapies that clinical research has consistently shown most effective (to have the best chance of working). Meanwhile, we are genuinely caring and compassionate people who recognize that each individual is unique so every treatment plan must be tailored to fit each client's needs.
Additional Information
Anxiety Solutions also offers a FREE Anxiety Support Group for adults suffering from anxiety disorders. It meets in our waiting room at 7PM on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month. Call for additional information or just show up if you'd prefer.
